Questions about cooling and installation
What is the best way to cool the miners?
It depends on the site and how much noise you can make. Air is the cheapest, but it is very noisy and brings in dust. Hydro uses water-cooled miners and a drycooler outside. Immersion is the quietest, allows overclocking and gives heat to reuse.
What is the difference between air cooling and immersion?
With air, the miners' fans pull in room air, with its dust and humidity, and blow the heat out, at about 75 dB next to the miner. In immersion, the miners sit in a fluid that doesn't conduct electricity: no fans, no dust, a stable temperature and heat ready to reuse.
What are the advantages of immersion?
Silence, miners protected from dust and humidity, a stable temperature, safe overclocking and heat at 55–60 °C for water, the house or the pool.
How is a miner prepared for immersion?
We prepare each miner for immersion, in hardware and firmware, and deliver it tuned for your site. It's work we do ourselves.
Do hydro miners also need immersion?
No. Hydro miners are already water-cooled inside. They need a circuit with a pump and a drycooler sized to them, such as the DCX ICP40 or the 120 kW.
How do I know how much a miner earns per day?
It depends on the hashrate, consumption, electricity price and network difficulty. Our simulator, in Portuguese, does the maths with today's values.
Which installation is right for me?
Tell us how many miners you want, where they will be, the power you have and how much noise you can make. We size the electricity, cooling and heat, and propose a fixed-price or custom package.
What does an immersion system need?
A tank (Bitpod for 2 miners, PRO 9 for 8), dielectric fluid, pumps, a drycooler sized to it and an electrical panel with one circuit per miner. DCX sets include almost everything.
How do you mine sustainably?
By reusing the heat for water, the house or the pool, mining with solar surplus and working more in off-peak hours. It's the kind of mining we have believed in since 2017.
